For it to feel like this
Like every inch of me is bruised, bruised
Like every inch of me is bruised, bruised
Teagan definitely had a hard life, and she really didn't have many people in her life that she could depend on and count on to get her through those tough days of her life. Unlike most people, Teager's life was made up of more tough days than good days, and she spent most of those days alone, either crying, using drugs, or working on her morbid and twisted artwork. All the while, she listened to various artists and bands ranging from the Beatles to the Monkeys to Jack's Mannequin to Fall Out Boy. Teagan had listened to and enjoyed pretty much any and every band from the 60's to the 80's, and she also enjoyed alternative bands from this time period. Was she ever someone to enjoy 'rap crap' or bubble-gum pop? Definitely not, but she was one of those girls who knew good music when she saw it. Teagan was also different from other girls in that she was pretty much the oldest one in Toronto, but she had not chosen to attend college after she had graduated the year before. Her mother hadn't attended college and had been fine until she had been killed by Teag's mother, so she didn't see any point in attending herself. She did take classes at the local art school and enjoyed that greatly, but Teagan's real dream was to open a recording studio of her own. Ever since she was a little girl, the music she had grown up listening to had changed her life. If it weren't for the numerous bands she had fallen in love with and the shows she had attended, Teagan probably would have fallen into an even deeper depression and rut than she was already in. Those bands had changed her life for the better, so her dream was to open a label of her own with an attached studio so she could produce the bands that could change the lives of the youth of tomorrow. Teagan was already interning at the small record label in Toronto and had been working there since graduation the previous May. She was the assitant to the assitant for the main producer of the label, so it seemed like it would be forever before she could be ready to open up a label of her own. Teagan seriously thought about opening her own label, but she seriously wasn't sure if she could handle her own label while trying to earn enough money on the side to support herself. Teagan had been living alone since her mother's death three years ago and since her father had fled the country. There were times when it was still difficult, but she really believed that that experience made her a much stronger person because of it.
Sighing softly, Teagan turned off her webcam and the hastily made her bed. After looking down at herself, she realised she was still wearing her black-leopard print pajamas. Shaking her head slightly, she tossed the sheets and blankets back on her bed and then shuffled into her closet to find a sutiable outfit. Once she had found one that suited her style, Teagan gathered it up and headed to the bathroom. She had already taken a shower the night before, so all she had to do was freshen up and change out of her pajamas. Teagan brushed her teeth and washed her face and hands, then pulled off her pajamas and tossed them in the dirty clothes hamper resting against the wall. Once she was fully dressed, she applied a soft layer of foundation and powder, then added heavy eyeliner and mascara. Satisfied with her look, she flipped off the lights and then headed back to her bedroom. Stopping by her dresser, Teagan grabbed her cell phone, wallet, iphone, and sketchpad and tossed it all in her shoulder bag, then headed out the door, turning off the lights as she passed them with a small smile on her face. Teagan made her way to the front door of her house and slipped outside. Once she was out of the house, she locked the front door and then headed down the steps and onto the front sidewalk. She reached her 1965 Comet and then unlocked the driver's side door, stepping inside. Teagan didn't really have a plan for where she was going at the moment. All she knew was that she wanted a nice, quiet place to escape. After sitting in her car for a few moments, she decided to go to the beach even though it was the dead of winter. It was certainly quiet, and Teagan enjoyed the cold so the setting fit her perfectly. Teagan adjusted the radio and then revved out of the driveway with a smile.
Within fifteen or minutes or so, Teagan found herself pulling into the virtually empty parking lot. She drove around aimlessly a few times and then pulled into the spot at the end of the first row. Taking her keys from the ignition, she stepped out of her 'baby' and locked it, tossing her keys into the front pocket of her messenger bag. Scanning the shoreline, Teagan made her way down to the snowy and icy covered sandy shore. She spotted a slighty icy bench about twenty feet from the parking lot and headed towards it. After wiping off the larger chunks of ice, Teagan sat down on the bench, pulling her leather jacket closer to her body for added warmth. After digging in her messenger bag, she found a knitted scarf and hat that had been a gift from one of her close friends at the art school. While the color and design was much more girly than what Teagan was used to wearing, it definitely would add some warmth to her already cool body so she didn't mind wearing it. Sighing again, Teagan pulled out her sketchbook and pencils and began working on her partially completed drawing.
