It was a simple flight from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles when Oceanic Flight 815 experienced some grave turbulence. It caused the plane to plummet back down to the earth. The plane, as well as many passengers, crashed onto an uncharted and very mysterious island.
Being strangers with nearly everyone on the island wasn't easy, but the passengers of Oceanic 815 soon found that they needed to band together in order to survive. Not before long, they realized that there really was something odd about this island. What were those voices they were hearing whenever they entered the forest?
Besides the exterior enemies, each survivor had a secret of their own. Kate was being brought back to the States after running from the law for killing the one she loved. Sawyer was a con man, living his life to kill the one he called 'Mr. Sawyer'. Hugo was worth millions of dollars and was terribly connected to a certain series of numbers. Charlie was a drug addict and had been in the airplane bathroom, satisfying his need, when the plane went down. Each survivor had their own dark past, but what they had to do was not be critical of one another for what they all had done. They had to move on and work as a community.
Not before long, everyone looked to a leader: Jack. He seemed very reluctant at first, but as he was the one helping everyone out and making sure they recovered from their injuries, it was hard for him to deny the title.
All of this was really a strike of luck for Benjamin Linus. While all of the passengers of Oceanic 815 thought it was mere coincidence, Ben saw it as fate. He sent out some of the Others to spy on the passengers. There were two sections of survivors now: those who were at the front end of the plane and those who were at the back. For now, they are separated: two tribes of stranded survivors, trying to get back to whatever they once called home.
